I found my 97 leaking, then it started missing at speeds over 30, then I thought I better get it worked on, when I started up and got into second gear, it backfired and missed like crazy. I managed to get it to the shop. Now they tell me I need the carberator re built. I also had to get the gasket fixed. They though it would be about $40. The carbeurator rebuild is about $90. It only has 1300 miles on it. What have I done to make this happen? I am truly clueless when it comes to machinery. I know i didn't answer your question exactly but added my own. Thanks
